Die voormalige Springbok voorspelers Balie Swart en Cobus Visagie het hulle kommer uitgespreek oor 'n plan om John Smit op vaste-stut te gebruik. Visagie glo Smit het nog 'n goeie toekoms as hakker, maar kan dalk sukkel in 'n nuwe posisie. Swart sê die kaptein is nog nie gereed om stut te speel nie. Hy glo ook dat Smit steeds Suid-Afrika se beste hakker is.

While the Boks have gathered in Cape Town ahead of the UK tour, the Proteas are in Kimberley to prepare for Kenya and Bangladesh. Dolphins all-rounder Johan Louw has been called up.
