Man U smiling, Liverpool draw Chelsea

Manchester United, who are on a quest to win five major trophies this season, have drawn possibly the easiest route to the Champions League final.

The Red Devils will face FC Porto in the quarter-finals and will take on the winner between Villareal and Arsenal in the semi's.

It's also a favourable draw for the Gunners, who sunk the Yellow Submarine in the 2006 semi-finals to setup a final against Barcelona.

Sir Alex Ferguson won't forget their defeat to Porto in the first round knockouts in 2004, but that was the year Porto were crowned champions under Jose Mourinho.

There were a few smiles in the Liverpool camp when they drew Chelsea.

Last year the Blues were unbeaten over two legs in a semi against the Reds and qualified for the final against champions Man United.

In 2007, Liverpool beat Chelsea in a penalty shootout to make it into the final.

There was drama in 2005, when the ! infamous phantom goal in a semi-final second leg saw Liverpool through to the final, where they beat Milan in a penalty shootout.

The winner between Liverpool and Chelsea will face either Barcelona or Bayern Munich in the semi's.

Lots of goals are expected in the Barca / Bayern clash as the teams are leading the scoring charts this season.
